Es wird zu erörtern sein, warum gerade die phronêsis in der aristotelischen Vorstellung eines glückli-chen Lebens unerlässlich ist und wie sich der phronimos im Verhältnis zu einem sophos auszeichnet. Hierzu ist die Erarbeitung der Begriffe eudaimonia und aretê als Vorarbeit zu verstehen, die eine genauere Betrachtung der phronêsis erst ermöglichen. Es folgt die Veror-tung jener unter den fünf Weisen der Wahrheit und ihrer Stellung in der aristotelischen See-lenlehre. Im Anschluss wird die phronêsis einer genauen Betrachtung unterzogen, in der sie als ein Wohlberatschlagen verstanden wird.
Die Arbeit folgt der Nikomachischen Ethik chronologisch und legt ihr Augenmerk vorrangig auf Buch I II und VI, da sich die gestellte Aufgabe in diesen Büchern im Rahmen einer Seminararbeit ausreichend beantworten lässt und dass Hinzuziehen weiterer textual content des Aristoteles den Umfang einer solchen Arbeit bei weitem überschreiten würde.
